The express road from Tureni is open to traffic.

The DEx4 Express Road, which connects the A3 Motorway to DN1 in the Tureni area, was opened to traffic on July 10, 2025, marking the completion of one of the most important infrastructure projects recently implemented in Cluj County.

The works were carried out by the consortium DIMEX 2000 COMPANY SRL – CONA OPERATIONS SRL. The project was managed by the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) through DRDP Cluj, the official beneficiary of the contract. For CONA, this project represented a major challenge and a new confirmation of our ability to deliver complex projects with real impact on communities and regional mobility. We were responsible for executing all the engineering structures (9 bridges and overpases)  built with utmost precision and in compliance with the highest technical standards.

“We were in charge of all the engineering structures – and every cubic meter of concrete was poured with safety, precision, and durability in mind. CONA’s motto remains: Power to build sustainable!
– Adrian Oros, Executive Director, CONA

“Today we are opening the DEx4 Cluj–Tureni express road, together with the CONA team, whom I thank for their dedication to this project.”
– Cristian Manițiu, Regional Executive Director, CONA

The express road is 5 kilometers long and includes an additional 10 kilometers of ramps connected to the A3 and DN1 interchanges. Although short, this segment is part of a larger project – the DEx4 Turda–Dej corridor – and plays a key role in relieving heavy traffic in Turda, Gilău, and Cluj-Napoca. The newly completed segment clearly improves road safety, reduces travel times, and protects residential areas from heavy transit.

Behind this inauguration lies a great deal of work, coordination, resilience, and collaboration. We would like to thank:

  • all our colleagues on-site and in the offices who put their heart and professionalism into every stage of the project,
  • our technical partners and collaborators,
  • the public authorities for their constant support,
  • and last but not least, the local residents and road users for their patience and understanding throughout the works.

We are honored to have contributed to the development of a vital road for mobility in the region – a project that reflects our commitment to sustainable and well-executed infrastructure.
