The works involved extending the existing terminal with two new buildings featuring a ground floor, mezzanine, and a setback upper floor, which are constructed on either side of the current structure. Ultimately, the terminal has a usable area of 22,400 square meters, up from 9,100 square meters, and modern facilities that meet current requirements. The project also includes modifications to the extended terminal with the latest technologies, as well as the redesign of the traffic flows: access to the Airport is made from the roundabout located between Alba Iulia Road and Europa Unită Street.
