Economist

  • Department: CONA FM

    Sibiu

Objective:

Specific activities related to the economist role within the Financial Department, at the Sibiu headquarters on Frigoriferului Street.

Role Description:

  • Recording invoices received from subcontractors/service providers based on the contracts/orders concluded with them;

  • Checking/monitoring subcontracting contracts and related addenda (value, execution deadlines, compliance with retentions, etc.);

  • Verifying guarantees received from suppliers;

  • Proposing the payment of guarantees that have become due;

  • Monthly revaluation of foreign currency receivables/payables;

  • Verifying treasury/cash advances reports;

  • Preparing payment proposals for due invoices received from suppliers;

  • Recording the entries and disposals of fixed assets, write-offs, transfers, and revaluations where applicable;

  • Verifying work-in-progress investments;

  • Consolidating inventory-count results;

  • Sending balance confirmations to the company’s suppliers/customers;

  • Verifying the VAT journal and VAT on collection, preparing the VAT return;

  • Monthly verification and closing of the trial balance;

  • Calculating non-deductible expenses;

  • Completing the General Journal Register;

  • Annual inventory of accounts.

Requirements

  • Graduate of higher economic studies: Finance–Banking, Accounting

  • Solid knowledge of accounting and economic–financial legislation

  • At least 1 year of experience in an economist role

  • Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform qualitative data analysis

  • Availability for extended working hours

  • Organized, with good time-management skills to meet deadlines.
