CONA has completed works on the Cardiovascular Surgery Centre in Târgu Mureș

CONA has completed works on the new Cardiovascular Surgery Centre in Târgu Mureș, a project intended to expand and modernise cardiovascular medical infrastructure. The beneficiary is the Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases and Transplantation Târgu Mureș, and the investment was carried out with funding through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).

What followed were nearly 500 days of working in sun, rain, frost and snow, day and night, at times around the clock. There were demanding deadlines, challenges, and moments that called for quick decisions and extraordinary effort. Beyond the technical achievement and the completion of a major NRRP-funded project, however, what truly matters remains this: this hospital belongs to the people and to the country. The new building comprises 219 beds, of which 214 for inpatient care and 5 for day admissions, along with an operating block featuring 4 operating theatres, including a hybrid theatre. The centre also integrates facilities for cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, intensive care, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart transplantation, imaging and diagnostics.
