The CONA team was present at the PSC Transilvania Regional Conference meeting in Cluj-Napoca, themed Leadership, Investment and the Future of Construction in Romania.
One of the most important messages delivered by Mr. Mircea Bulboacă, as a speaker at the event, was that Romania’s construction sector today has the technical capability, experience and companies needed to carry out large and complex projects — and that ensuring a steady flow of investment is essential to avoid stalling Romania’s development.
In the context where European funding will become increasingly limited, Romania must prepare alternative financing mechanisms in advance. Public-private partnerships can represent one of the key solutions, especially for large infrastructure or healthcare projects. For this model to work, however, it is essential to have clear and predictable legislation, less bureaucracy, and — very importantly — one or two successfully implemented projects that build trust and set a precedent in the market.
We are glad to see the industry beginning to come together, think strategically, and build a shared vision for the future.
